Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Dispatch work orders to drivers to provide service to customers.
• Provide dispatch coverage for other lines during absences.
• Receive calls from customers and handle each with appropriate communication and action.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service, pick-up and/or delivery issues.
• Assist management with daily activities of route drivers and ensure routes are completed.
• Assign live loads to drivers based on route or locations.
• Dispatch work orders and perform data entry into computer system.
• Monitor drivers through GPS system GeoTab.
• Act as emergency contact for drivers and communicate with maintenance.
• Manage missed stops by coordinating with customers and drivers to resolve.
• Assist with daily work orders and driver assignments.
• Ensure paperwork complies with DOT regulations.
• Maintain and update route sheets.
• Monitor driver hours in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
