Job summary

Rumpke is a family-owned waste and recycling leader delivering essential services to communities. The Dispatcher role focuses on coordinating drivers, handling customer calls, and ensuring timely service across residential, roll-off, and commercial lines.

Ideal candidates will manage routes, input data accurately, and support management with daily operations while maintaining DOT compliant paperwork and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatch or coordinating routes preferred.
• Ability to handle high call volumes professionally.
• Knowledge of transportation or DOT regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch work orders to drivers via radio or phone to service customers.
• Provide dispatch coverage for other lines during absences.
• Receive and respond to customer calls and input data into the system.
• Troubleshoot service or delivery issues and resolve them.
• Assist management with daily route driver activities and ensure route completion.
• Monitor driver routes and assign loads as needed.
• Maintain route sheets and ensure paperwork complies with DOT rules.
