Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Dispatch position to coordinate driver routes and respond to service requests. The role involves dispatching work orders, handling customer calls, and ensuring routes are completed efficiently across Residential, Roll-off, and Commercial lines.

The ideal candidate will read maps, communicate professionally, manage high call volumes, and maintain accurate DOT-related documentation while supporting multiple lines of business.

Qualifications

• Must know service area and be able to read maps and give directions.
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with multiple lines of business (Residential, Roll-off, Commercial) preferred.
• Capable of handling a heavy call volume with accuracy and speed.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch work orders to drivers via radio or phone for commercial lines.
• Provide dispatch coverage for other lines during absences and breaks.
• Answer customer calls and log requests into the computer system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service, pickup, and delivery issues.
• Monitor drivers and ensure routes are completed and DOT paperwork is accurate.
