Job summary

UniFirst seeks a Route Coverage Specialist to step in and cover delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You’ll learn multiple routes, load and deliver clean garments, and ensure timely, courteous service to customers along established routes.

You will work on invoices, perform inventory checks, and uphold vehicle safety while collaborating with teams to support new installations and rerouting. Strong customer service, independence, and physical stamina are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented mindset and providing excellent customer service.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery, roles is a plus!
• Comfortable using and learning new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 50 lbs., with the ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details to provide top-tier service.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes and manage returns.
• Provide excellent customer service and foster strong relationships through clear communication.
• Resolve customer requests independently using problem-solving skills to ensure satisfaction.
• Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety and appearance.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies for safety and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with service and management teams to support new account installations and rerouting.
• Share customer feedback with leadership and monitor local market competitor activity.
