Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to step in for Route Service Representatives and ensure seamless service across multiple routes. You will load, transport, and unload clean garments and products while maintaining operational standards and customer relationships.

The role emphasizes autonomy, teamwork with Service and Management, safety compliance, and flexibility to cover varying routes. Ideal candidates are proactive, agile, and customer-focused.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required with a clean record.
• DOT requirements including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Technological comfort to learn new systems and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay on feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships.
• Resolve customer requests using problem-solving skills.
• Manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety.
• Follow safety standards and traffic laws at all times.
• Support new account installations and rerouting efforts with the team.
• Communicate customer feedback and market competitor activity to leadership.
