Job summary

UniFirst is hiring a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will learn multiple routes, load and deliver garments and products, and collect used items for return, ensuring timely, high-quality service to customers.

In this role you’ll interact with customers, resolve requests, manage invoices, and assist with route installations and rerouting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT physical exam compliance required.
• High school diploma, GED or military service required.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales or delivery is a plus.
• Comfort with learning new technologies to improve efficiency.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and stay on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes and learn customer-specific details.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Resolve customer requests independently to ensure satisfaction.
• Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and keep vehicle clean and safe.
• Follow traffic laws and company safety policies to protect everyone.
• Collaborate with Service and Management Teams to support installations and rerouting.
• Communicate customer feedback and local competitor activity to leadership.
