Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to support delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will learn multiple routes, load and deliver garments and products, and ensure timely, accurate service to customers along established routes.

The role emphasizes customer service, problem solving, and collaboration with service and management teams, while adhering to safety standards and driving regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• DOT requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills; able to work independently.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Tech-savvy; able to learn new technologies.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency across multiple routes to provide top-tier service.
• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain customer relationships.
• Resolve customer requests independently and ensure satisfaction.
• Accurately manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety/appearance.
• Follow traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies.
• Collaborate with Service and Management Teams on route support and upselling opportunities.
• Share customer feedback with location leadership and monitor local market activity.
