Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Security Officer to provide security for Maniilaq Village Health Clinics in Kotzebue, AK. The role operates on a 1 week on / 1 week off rotation and may include on-call duties outside regular hours.

The officer will monitor areas, de-escalate potential conflicts, inspect security measures, and respond to emergencies to protect staff and visitors. First training is a 10-day program in Kotzebue, with lodging and transportation provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and make quick decisions.
• Must be safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.
• Must be able to stand for 8-12 hours and be on feet for long periods.
• Must be able to pass Alaska background check and obtain Guard License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas visually, electronically, or audibly.
• De-escalate situations to ensure safety of employees and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows and areas to ensure security.
• Report property damage or incidents per policy.
• Assist in event setup and clinic functions.
• Respond to emergencies and disasters to preserve life and property.
• Issue and record ID badges as needed.
• Notify supervisors about visitors and safety concerns.
• May work on-call outside normal hours.
• No supervisory responsibilities.
