Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Security Officer to protect the Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas. The role operates on a 1 week on / 1 week off rotation, with local duties and potential on-call work outside regular hours.

Selected candidate will complete a 10-day training in Kotzebue, AK; lodging and travel provided. Responsibilities include monitoring, de-escalation, reporting incidents, assisting with events, and responding to emergencies while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Able to pass Alaska background check and obtain Guard License.
• Cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers, and clients.
• Make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Stand for 8–12 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas visually, electronically, or audibly to ensure safety.
• De-escalate situations to protect employees, customers, and clients.
• Inspect doors, windows, and security areas to ensure they are secure.
• Report property damage and unusual occurrences per company policies.
• Assist in setting up for events and preparing the clinic for functions.
• Respond to emergencies to preserve life and property, including fire safety
• Notify on-site individuals of visitors wishing to see them.
• May issue and record ID badges.
• Work on-call and outside normal business hours as scheduled.
