Job summary

NANA Management Services, LLC seeks a Security Officer to protect the Maniilaq Village Health Clinics and surrounding areas in Noatak, AK. The position operates on a 1 week on / 1 week off rotation and may require on-call duties outside normal hours.

A ten-day training in Kotzebue with lodging and travel is provided for new hires. Responsibilities include monitoring areas, de-escalation, securing entrances, incident reporting, and assisting with events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass State of Alaska background check and pay the Alaska Guard License fee of $97.00 prior to beginning work.
• Must cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers, and clients.
• Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to be on your feet for 8-12 hours per shift.
• Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read, and write English.
• Must be safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.
• Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitor assigned areas and grounds using various methods.
• De-escalate situations to ensure safety of employees, customers, and clients.
• Inspect doors and windows to ensure security.
• Record data on incidents and property damage per policies.
• Assist in event setup and clinic preparations.
• Notify supervisors about safety concerns and sanitation standards.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call situations outside normal hours.
