Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Security Officer to provide safety and protection at Maniilaq Village Health Clinics in Alaska. The role features a 1 week on, 1 week off rotation and may require on-call work outside normal hours to support health operations.

A ten-day training in Kotzebue is required; lodging and transportation are provided for new hires. The position emphasizes safety, compliance, and responsive security coverage for staff, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must pass State of Alaska background check.
• Obtain and pay the Alaska Guard License fee of $97 prior to starting.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Safety oriented as this is a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas visually, electronically, or audibly.
• De-escalate situations to ensure safety of staff and clients.
• Inspect doors, windows, and other areas to verify security.
• Report security incidents and data per policies.
• Be on-call and flexible to work outside normal hours.
