Job summary

North American Slate, the American subsidiary of a premier international slate producer, is seeking a driven Sales Representative for the Southeast region. You will prospect, negotiate with contractors and architects, and manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to close.

Travel about 50% to visit customers across GA, NC, SC, VA, and TN. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years outside sales experience, preferably construction-related.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and prospecting new customers and building lasting partnerships.
• Meeting contractors, suppliers and architects and negotiating pricing and terms.
• Managing the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Providing reporting to leadership for sales and project oversight.
• Forecasting and monitoring pipeline projects to reach targets.
• Managing leads in territory, sending information/samples, coordinating logistics.
• Estimating/quoting/analysing costs to competitively sell slate products.
• Ongoing account management from lead generation to post-sale service.
