Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer to join the SWAT team. You will design and implement software that interfaces with hardware, write control logic for test fixtures, coordinate multi-device sequences, collect sensor data, and build tooling for hardware engineers.

You will work hands-on with physical systems, reading datasheets, understanding CAN, EtherCAT, serial, and contribute to the Automation Platform and test infrastructure across programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for large systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years designing and developing multi-tiered, embedded or distributed software applications and services.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement control and coordination software for hardware test fixtures and workcells.
• Develop automation scripts and frameworks that interface with robotic hardware.
• Build reliable data collection pipelines for test measurements and telemetry.
• Contribute to the Automation Platform across product programs.
• Partner with Hardware Test and Development Engineers to translate test requirements into automation.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle of test infrastructure.
