Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer II to build safety-critical software for a large fleet of fulfillment robots. You will design and implement embedded code in C/C++ (or Rust), working at the hardware–software boundary to enable reliable, deterministic operation in real-world environments.

You will collaborate with hardware, cloud software, and field support teams, participate in code reviews, and mentor others while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture of new/existing systems.
• Experience in embedded development in C/C++.
• Experience with full software development lifecycle including reviews and source control.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software for safety-critical robotics systems in C/C++/Rust.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and software teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
