Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join the robotics firmware team, focusing on developing and maintaining firmware for robotic and safety systems. You will work across modules like cameras, sensors, and navigation, and lead other firmware engineers on critical projects.

You will participate in design discussions, code reviews, and implement robust, well-documented solutions while delivering on product concepts and features for a dynamic robotics platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
• Proficiency with C/C++ in an embedded context.
• Hands-on experience with an RTOS or Embedded Linux.
• Good computer architecture fundamentals and experience with MPUs and MCUs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain firmware for robotic and safety systems.
• Learn and master components within the firmware environment (cameras, WiFi, security, navigation, sensors).
• Lead teams of firmware developers on critical products.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews; advocate for robust solutions.
• Demonstrate engineering practices, documentation, and ownership.
