Job summary

Amazon is seeking exceptional software engineers to help develop the next generation of robotics systems at scale. You will design, develop, and maintain production software for robotic systems in C++ and Python, spanning perception, motion planning, controls, and application layers, and you will work across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, robotics or related field.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience developing software for robotic or complex mechatronic systems.
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python for production-grade software.
• Experience contributing to design or architecture of systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production software for robotic systems in C++ and/or Python, spanning perception, motion planning, controls, and application layers.
• Work with sensor integration, networking, safety systems, and real-time actuation on modern robotic hardware.
• Contribute to the architecture of complex robotics software systems and collaborate with teammates.
• Build simulation, testing, and CI/CD infrastructure to validate robot behaviors before deployment.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex system-level issues across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
• Develop solutions balancing performance, reliability, and maintainability under senior guidance.
