Job summary

Amazon Robotics is seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer II to bridge hardware and software for safety-certified solutions in warehouse automation. You will design, implement, test, and maintain embedded software in C/C++/Rust to ensure safe interaction with robotic systems.

You will work with hardware, cloud software, and field support teams to integrate products end-to-end, exploring EdgeAI on constrained devices while meeting strict safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years in design or architecture of systems (design patterns, reliability, scalability).
• Embedded development experience in C/C++.
• SDLC experience including coding standards, reviews, source control, build, test, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software components for safety-critical systems using C/C++/Rust.
• Collaborate with hardware, manufacturing, and software teams to integrate products end-to-end.
• Participate in the full product lifecycle from scoping to maintenance of embedded safety systems.
• Provide feedback during code reviews to improve quality and maintainability.
• Explore EdgeAI on resource-constrained embedded systems with deterministic behavior.
