Job summary

Tutor is seeking a hands-on Maintenance and Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair autonomous robotic systems for customers across North America. You will troubleshoot, upgrade, and support deployments while driving uptime and performance in real-world environments.

You will collaborate with Engineering to improve product reliability and help scale the fleet from dozens to hundreds of robots, traveling extensively to service sites and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, building, maintaining, or deploying electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
• Experience with motors, sensors, actuators, drives, pneumatics, robotics, or similar systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new robotic systems at customer sites, including installation, commissioning, validation, and handoff.
• Perform preventative maintenance on autonomous robotic systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, controls issues.
• Execute repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and field modifications.
• Support ramp-up and operational readiness after deployment.
• Work with customers to maximize uptime and performance.
• Document failures and support root cause investigations.
• Partner with Engineering to improve reliability and serviceability.
• Develop maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Support product validation, pilot deployments, and new product introductions.
