Job summary

Tutor Intelligence is seeking a Field Service / Maintenance Engineer to deploy, service, and upgrade robotic systems at customer sites across North America. You will troubleshoot electromechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and collaborate with Engineering to improve product reliability.

The role requires extensive travel, independent problem-solving, and a strong customer-facing approach to maximize uptime and performance in real-world facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, building, maintaining, or deploying electromechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
• Experience with motors, sensors, actuators, drives, pneumatics, robotics, or similar systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing professionalism.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and install robotic systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance on autonomous systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and controls issues.
• Execute repairs, upgrades, and field modifications.
• Document field data and support root cause investigations.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve reliability and serviceability.
• Travel to support deployments and customer sites.
