Job summary

Formic Technologies is seeking a Robotics Field Service Technician to join our Fleet Operations team. You will perform preventive maintenance, carry out targeted repairs, and serve customers on-site to maintain fleet reliability and uptime.

You will work closely with Engineering and senior field staff, follow established procedures, and document activities thoroughly. This role requires hands-on discipline, safety focus, and strong communication with plant personnel.

Qualifications

Hands-on field service or maintenance experience with robotic/industrial automation.
Solid troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, PLC, or robotic control systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and pneumatic drawings.

Responsibilities

Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on robotic cells using checklists.
Perform directed corrective maintenance and repairs as assigned by engineering or senior techs.
Respond to on-site service calls, troubleshoot, and escalate complex issues.
Provide hands-on technical support to operators and maintenance teams.
Log service activity, asset updates, and spare parts in CMMS systems.
Coordinate day-to-day logistics with customers and internal stakeholders.
Monitor system performance and report anomalies to engineering.
Document service work and follow-up actions clearly and accurately.
