Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for day and night shifts in the Raleigh, NC area. You will oversee field crews on highway and underground utility projects, coordinating schedules, safety, and inspections with NCDOT personnel.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on supervision, and the ability to read plans, manage traffic control, and ensure production targets are met across a robust pipeline of NCDOT work. Relocation to the Raleigh area is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility supervision.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience; night work a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specs and track quantities.
• Knowledge of work zone traffic control and safety compliance.
• Based in Triangle or willing to relocate to Raleigh area.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries
• Plan the work and maintain the project schedule shift-to-shift
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift
• Set up traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows
• Work with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers
• Track installed quantities and daily production
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift
