Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for day and night shifts in the Raleigh area to lead field crews on highway and underground utility projects, primarily for NCDOT.

This is a stable opportunity for a seasoned supervisor with DOT roadway and underground utility experience. You will coordinate subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries; ensure safety and OSHA compliance; read plans and specs; manage traffic control; and maintain daily reports and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience; night work is a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specs and track quantities accurately.
• Willing to work day or night shifts; valid driver's license.
• NCDOT project experience, OSHA 30 and HeavyJob experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and shift the schedule as needed.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows.
• Work with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.
