Job summary

Ilocatum in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent to lead day and night crews on highway, roadway and underground utility projects. The role emphasizes DOT/NCDOT work, coordinating field teams, and ensuring safety and production targets are met.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil roadway or utility supervision, read plans and specs, and can manage traffic control and field documentation. Relocation to Raleigh area is welcome, with a stable pipeline of work.

Qualifications

• Experience leading heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility work.
• Ability to coordinate DOT projects and read construction plans.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA compliance on all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and hold the project schedule shift to shift.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures inside approved work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.
