Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent for day and night work in the Raleigh area.

This role leads roadway and underground utility crews on highway and NCDOT-related projects, coordinating schedules, safety, and field reporting. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of heavy civil roadway or underground utility supervision, DOT project experience, and the ability to read plans and manage quantities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility supervision experience.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience, night work a plus.
• Able to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Ready to work day or night shifts as the job needs.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and manage the project schedule shift to shift.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.
