Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent to lead day and night field crews on highway, roadway and utility projects across North Carolina.

You will coordinate operations, ensure safety, and work closely with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers in Raleigh and surrounding areas. This role requires 5+ years of heavy civil roadway/utility experience, DOT project exposure, and the ability to read plans and manage quantities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at the superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience, night work a plus.
• Working knowledge of grading, storm drainage, water and sewer installation, and paving sequencing.
• Solid understanding of work zone traffic control.
• Able to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Ready to work day or night shifts as the job needs.
• Valid driver's license.
• NCDOT project experience is a plus.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking experience is a plus.
• Based in the Triangle or ready to relocate to the Raleigh area.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and hold the project schedule shift to shift.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures inside approved work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.
