CareerNerds, LLC in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Roadway / Utility Superintendent to lead day and night crews on highway, roadway and utility projects across North Carolina. The role focuses on DOT roadway and underground utility work with a stable workload and long runway.

You will read plans, manage safety and traffic control, coordinate subcontractors, and work with NCDOT inspectors. Relocation to Raleigh area is welcome; local Triangle candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway and/or underground utility experience at the superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience, night work a plus.
• Able to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Based in the Triangle or ready to relocate to the Raleigh area.
• Valid driver's license.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.
• HCSS HeavyJob or similar field tracking experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and their foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and hold the project schedule shift to shift.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures inside approved work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.
