Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC in Raleigh, NC seeks a Roadway/Utility Superintendent to lead day and night crews on DOT roadway and underground utility projects across the Triangle. You’ll read plans, coordinate heavy civil work, and ensure safety and quality while aligning with project schedules.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of heavy civil experience, DOT/utility background, and willingness to relocate if needed. Local candidates preferred with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy civil roadway/underground utility experience at superintendent or senior foreman level.
• DOT roadway or utility project experience, night work a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specs and keep accurate quantities.
• Valid driver's license.
• Based in the Triangle or willing to relocate to the Raleigh area.

Responsibilities

• Run day and night shift field operations on roadway and utility projects.
• Lead roadway, grading and underground utility crews and foremen.
• Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, equipment and material deliveries.
• Plan the work and manage the project schedule shift to shift.
• Own jobsite safety, toolbox talks and OSHA compliance on every shift.
• Set up and manage traffic control and lane closures within approved work windows.
• Work directly with NCDOT inspectors and project engineers.
• Track installed quantities and daily production.
• Complete daily reports, crew time and field documentation.
• Coordinate handoffs with the project manager and the other shift.
