Job summary

Cox Automotive Fleet in Charleston is seeking a Roadside Event Specialist II to manage large-scale events and ensure smooth operations for maintenance and repairs. You will coordinate with drivers, customers, and service providers to keep open events flowing and maintain service quality.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and several years in logistics/transport/auto tech, with strong Office skills and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or automotive technology.
• At least 1 year of experience in a Cox Fleet role (Follow Up, Breakdown Specialist, or Managed Care) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for data entry, word processing and email.
• Great communication skills by phone, email and in person.
• Ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operational needs of any major events, including high dollar-amount repair approvals and serious situations such as accidents, police impounds and more.
• Ensure timely response for repairs and that any other customer instructions for equipment are handled promptly.
• Ensure estimates are handled accurately.
• Communicate directly and effectively with customers, drivers, service providers and coworkers.
• Ensure customer protocol is being followed at the highest possible level.
• Ensure correct billing is selected and communicated with service provider.
