Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator for an on-site role in Jacksonville, FL. You will respond to roadside calls, assist stranded motorists, perform tire changes, jump starts, lockouts, and towing with emphasis on safety and customer care.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, DOT readiness, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. You will operate service vehicles and use tablets to document calls and maintain logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with minimal driving infractions/incidents.
• Must pass drug screening, motor vehicle record review, criminal background check, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service skills and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and make field decisions.
• Comfortable using GPS, mobile tech, tablets, and electronic apps.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Read and follow roadside service procedures and member benefits.
• Able to complete AAA training programs.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests from AAA members using a tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services such as tire changes, fuel delivery, battery testing and installation, jump starts, lockout assistance, and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following established procedures and towing guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Utilize tablets and devices to manage calls, update service requests, and access towing procedures.
• Document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and an acceptable driving record.
• Achieve goals related to member satisfaction, safety, and productivity.
• Support community and AAA events as needed.
