AAA The Auto Club Group in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator. You will respond to service calls, assist stranded motorists with jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts, and safely tow vehicles when needed. The role blends hands-on problem solving, customer care, and safe driving while working independently on the road.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license with minimal infractions.
• Must pass drug screening, motor vehicle record review, criminal background check, and DOT physical.
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
• Comfortable using GPS, tablets, and electronic applications.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret roadside service procedures and member benefits.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills.
• Able to complete AAA training programs.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Illinois C-Non CDL may be required if employed in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests using a tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services: tire changes, fuel, battery testing/installation, jump starts, lockouts.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles per procedures and towing guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver excellent customer service.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections.
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle.
• Use tablets to manage calls and access procedures.
• Document daily activities, service calls, logs and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and acceptable driving record.
• Aim for member satisfaction, safety, productivity, and battery services goals.
• Support community and AAA events as needed.
