Job summary

AAA The Auto Club Group seeks a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside calls and assist stranded motorists with services like jump-starts, tire changes, and lockouts. You’ll tow vehicles when needed and perform DOT inspections, documenting activities daily while staying on the road.

You will work a flexible schedule on-site at Raleigh, NC, with a focus on safety, customer service, and independent problem-solving in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid state driver’s license with minimal infractions.
• Pass pre-employment screenings (drug, MVR, background, DOT).
• Strong customer service and professional communication.
• Ability to work independently and in field conditions.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and using GPS/tablets.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests with a tow or service vehicle.
• Provide services such as tire changes, jump starts, lockouts, fuel delivery.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following procedures.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver high-quality customer service.
• Complete DOT pre/post inspections and document maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, professional service vehicle and report issues.
• Utilize tablets to manage calls and update requests.
• Maintain driving record and DOT certification; support events as needed.
