Job summary

The Auto Club Group is seeking a Service Vehicle Operator to respond to roadside calls, assist AAA members with jump-starts, tire changes, lockouts, and safely tow vehicles when needed. You will work independently on the road, performing on-site diagnostics and customer service in dynamic conditions.

This field-based role requires a valid driver's license, DOT readiness, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver's license with clean record.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings, including DOT physical where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside assistance requests from AAA members using a tow truck or service vehicle.
• Provide emergency roadside services, including tire changes, fuel delivery, battery testing and installation, jump starts, lockout assistance, and minor mechanical adjustments.
• Safely tow disabled vehicles following established procedures and towing guidelines.
• Verify AAA membership and deliver outstanding customer service during every interaction.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and report vehicle maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Utilize tablets and electronic devices to manage calls, update service requests, and access towing procedures.
• Accurately document daily activities, service calls, vehicle logs, and receipts.
• Maintain DOT certification and an acceptable driving record.
• Achieve goals related to member satisfaction, safety, productivity, and battery services.
• Support community and special AAA events as needed.
