Job summary

MediLodge of Howell is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator Nurse to assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and coordinate our center's Staff Development Program. You will perform clinical tasks and assist in other departments to ensure high-quality care.

The ideal candidate is an RN with at least three years of nursing experience, including long‑term care, and has certified CPR teaching credentials and CE compliance knowledge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN degree preferred.
• RN license required and CPR teaching certification if applicable.
• CE requirements up-to-date and compliant with state rules.
• Three years nursing experience, with long-term care exposure.
• One year instructor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and coordinate staff development.
• Develop and conduct orientation for new, rehired, and contract staff.
• Provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Ensure training documentation complies with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Monitor performance and address compliance issues as needed.
• Collaborate with DNS to validate clinical competency and conduct annual assessments.
• Assist in department budget and manage expenditures within allocation.
