Job summary

Intersect Healthcare is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to oversee the staff development program across the assigned building. The role includes clinical tasks and interdepartmental support as needed, with a focus on training compliance and competency.

The ideal candidate will be a BSN-preferred RN with active licensure, CPR certification, and at least three years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care, plus instructor experience.

Qualifications

• RN with active license and BSN preferred.
• CPR teaching certificate, if applicable.
• Three years of nursing experience, long-term care preferred.
• Instructor experience preferred.
• Familiar with state CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate staff development program.
• Deliver compliance training and maintain documentation per regulations.
• Conduct orientation for new, rehired, and contract staff.
• Provide clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Coordinate OSHA/Risk Management and licensing requirements.
• Partner with Director of Nursing to ensure clinical competency and annual assessments.
• Participate in department budgeting and cost control.
• Plan in-service programs meeting state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
