MediLodge Howell is seeking a Social Services Assistant to support the social services department at our Howell facility. This role involves administrative duties and coordinating resident visits with outside services to ensure comprehensive care.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and at least one year of experience in a long-term care setting, along with knowledge of psychosocial practices and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a long-term care environment.
• Knowledge of psychosocial practices applicable to a long term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support to the social services department.
• Coordinates resident visits with outside services (dental, optical, etc.).
• Conducts in-service programs to educate staff regarding psychosocial issues and patient rights.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
