Job summary

MediLodge of Sterling Heights is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator Nurse to assess, plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and coordinate the center’s Staff Development Program, perform clinical tasks, and assist in other departments.

The role requires RN licensure with CPR teaching certification preferred, three years of nursing experience (one year in long-term care) and the ability to train licensed and unlicensed staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BS degree preferred.
• Three years nursing experience, with at least one year in long-term care.
• One year experience as an instructor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance training and education for staff.
• Maintains documentation for training per state, federal and compliance requirements.
• Monitors employee performance and corrects compliance issues.
• Develops and conducts orientation for new, rehired and contract employees.
• Manages Employee Health program and provides hands-on clinical orientation.
