Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse I (CN I) to lead a Care Delivery Team, directing nursing care across assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation for a diverse patient population in Ohio. The CN I works with CN II as a resource and uses competence across equipment and procedures.

This is an entry step to the Mercy Clinical Ladder, with a typical progression path to CN II within a year. The role emphasizes independent clinical judgment, effective communication, and adherence to

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse and current BLS/CPR certification.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period.
• Completes Orientation Checklist.
• Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety & CPR/BLS Recertification.
• Must have theoretical knowledge combined with beginning level clinical experience in providing nursing care for a variety of patients.
• Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Direct care for a team of patients under the CN II guidance.
• Lead the Care Delivery Team and ensure nursing care plans are implemented and evaluated according to patient needs.
