Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to lead a Care Delivery Team and direct nursing care for a defined group of patients. The CN II plays a key role in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, and precepts new staff.

This union-affiliated, full-time position requires Ohio RN licensure, hospital orientation completion, continuing education, and ACLS. The shift is 7 PM to 7:30 AM with weekend and holiday coverage; on-call is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Complete orientation and probationary period.
• Maintains 12 contact hours of CE annually including Fire Safety and CPR recertification; ACLS required.
• Strong verbal and written communication with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead care for a defined patient group and direct nursing care from assessment to evaluation.
• Demonstrate nursing leadership and coordinate team activities.
• Precept new employees as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and colleagues.
