Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Clinical Nurse II to lead a Care Delivery Team, directing patient care with skilled clinical judgment. The CN II shows nursing leadership, coordinates care, precepts new staff, and applies independent assessment and planning across patient needs, ages and conditions.

Ideal candidates hold an Ohio RN license, nursing degree from an accredited school, and ACLS certified. Orientation and ongoing CE—12 hours yearly—are required; strong communication completes the profile.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
• Completion of orientation and probationary period.
• Maintains 12 contact hours of continuing education annually including Fire Safety and CPR Re-certification; ACLS is required.
• Combines theoretical knowledge with clinical experience and communicates well.

Responsibilities

• Directs care for a team of patients as the leader of the Care Delivery Team.
• Demonstrates nursing leadership and coordinates nursing care for a specified group.
• Precepts new employees as assigned and uses essential equipment for patient age groups.
• Engages in independent assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs.
