Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Clinical Nurse II to lead the Care Delivery Team and direct nursing care for a defined group of patients. The CN II demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and coordinates patient care from assessment through evaluation.

Precepts new staff and uses essential equipment for diverse patient ages. The role requires RN licensure in Ohio, completion of orientation, ongoing CE (12 hours/yr) including Fire Safety and CPR recertification; ACLS is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period.
• Maintains 12 contact hours of CE annually including Fire Safety and CPR recertification; ACLS is required.
• Must have theoretical knowledge with clinical experience and communicate well with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Care Delivery Team and direct nursing care for a specific group of patients.
• Precepts new employees as assigned.
• Coordinates assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients' physical, psychological and sociocultural needs.
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
• Full time schedule: 40 hours per week; on-call duties.
