Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse I (CN I) in Ohio to lead a care delivery team and direct patient care under the CN II. The CN I will perform independent assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients' physical, psychological, and sociocultural needs with appropriate use of equipment.

Entry into the Mercy Clinical Ladder is indicated, with progression to CN II within one year.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse and current BLS/CPR certification.
• Successful completion of general and unit-specific orientation and hospital probationary period.
• Completes Orientation Checklist.
• Obtains/maintains a minimum of 12 contact hours of continuing education annually which includes Fire Safety & CPR/BLS Recertification.
• Must have theoretical knowledge combined with beginning level clinical experience in providing nursing care for a variety of patients.
• Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing with people of varying backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Leads care delivery for a team of patients under the supervision of CN II.
• Directs care reflecting independent assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient needs.
• Utilizes equipment appropriate to patient age groups.
• Advances within Mercy Clinical Ladder with CN I advancing toward CN II in roughly one year.
