BayCare, a leading healthcare system in the Tampa area, is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular ICU at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tampa, FL. This full-time position requires active RN licensure in Florida and 1 year ICU experience with BLS/ACLS credentials.

The role is in-person, with a 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM shift and every other weekend obligation. Join a large network of hospitals and care facilities with strong mentorship, extensive training, and career growth

Qualifications

• RN license is required and licensed in Florida.
• 1 year RN experience in ICU/Acute Care setting preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care for ICU adults using nursing process and standards.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to other health care team members.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and progress in ICU.
• Identify and respond to rapid changes in patient condition and emergencies.
• Ensure safe discharge planning and referrals for post-acute care.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - ICU responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
