BayCare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiovascular ICU at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL. This full-time night shift position (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) requires caring for ICU patients with critical care expertise and teamwork in a high-stakes environment.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license with a nursing degree and ACLS/BLS certifications, plus 1 year ICU experience. On-call is not required, and in-person presence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license and nursing degree(s).
• Experience in ICU and acute care settings preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsabilités

• Care for ICU patients using nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate patient care to health care team as appropriate.
• Monitor vitals, assessments, and changes in condition.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care.
• Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – ICU responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
