Job summary

BayCare seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care in the eICU Clearwater facility. You will work a 5:45 PM - 6:15 AM shift, full-time, with every other weekend requirement, and in-person on-site duties.

Requirements include an active RN license, nursing degree, and ICU experience; BLS/ACLS certifications are preferred. BayCare offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a large Tampa Bay health network.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Nursing.
• 2+ years ICU RN experience in acute care.
• Preferred: 5+ years ICU experience.
• BSL certification (Red Cross or American Heart Association).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Provide care for ICU patients using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to health care team members.
• Monitor, record, and update patient vitals and assessments.
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s condition and respond to emergencies.
• Coordinate discharge planning and referrals for continuity of care.

Requirements:

• RN (Registered Nurse) License
• Diploma, Associate’s, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's in Nursing
• 2-years' RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
• Preferred RN experience - 5-years in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
• BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse – ICU responsibilities and skills:

• Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
• Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
• Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition
• Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
• Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
• High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
• Professional accountability and development
