Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in PreOp/PACU to support perioperative care at our Minnesota facility. You will assess patients before and after surgery, monitor vital signs, and apply scoring and discharge criteria to ensure safe recovery.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing individualized care, managing anesthesia recovery, and communicating with the care team. A valid RN license and PACU experience are required, with a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess preop/postop status per policy, including systems review.
• Interpret monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
• Apply discharge criteria and perianesthesia scoring systems.
• Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia care plans.
• Manage recovery from anesthesia and communicate status to team.
• Provide pain and comfort management and safe medication administration.
• Document care, hand off reports, and collaborate with disciplines.
