Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp and PACU to support perioperative care across our facilities. You will assess patients before and after surgery, interpret monitors, and implement individualized plans of care to ensure safe recovery and timely discharge.

Requirements include nursing licensure, at least one year in PreOp/PACU, and certifications such as BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical / surgical nursing experience.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• Completion of BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
• PALS certification is required when pediatric care is included within the scope.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status per policy and procedures.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe underlying pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement plan including anesthesia recovery management and safety.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
• Coordinate hand-off reports to teammates with accuracy and brevity.
• Maintain competencies and participate in quality improvement.
