SCA Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for PreOp PACU duties in Minnesota. You’ll assess patients pre- and post-operatively, interpret monitors, and develop individualized care plans while adhering to facility policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year Pre Operative or PACU experience.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Current state nursing license in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification within 90 days.
• ACLS certification within 90 days.
• PALS certification if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA Health.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policy.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Implement the plan including recovery management and safety measures.
• Provide hand-off report to teammates with concise, relevant information.
• Delegate tasks per applicable nursing regulations and policies.
• Document care completely and accurately, maintaining patient privacy.
• Collaborate with disciplines and participate in improvement projects.
