Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in the PreOp PACU to support our perioperative teams in Minnesota. The role focuses on assessing patients before and after surgery, monitoring cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurologic status, and ensuring effective recovery from anesthesia.

You will develop individualized care plans, administer medications safely, and collaborate with surgeons and staff to uphold our patient-centered standards and continuous improvement in perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Preoperative or PACU experience preferred.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• BLS/BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS and PALS certifications within stated timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Assess preoperative and postoperative status per policies to ensure safety.
• Interpret information from patient monitors to guide care.
• Develop and implement an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Provide perioperative care including recovery from anesthesia.
• Communicate patient status during perioperative continuum and hand off care.
