Job summary

SCA Health is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for the PreOp PACU role in the United States. The RN will assess patients preoperatively and postoperatively, interpret monitors, and apply perianesthesia care plans to ensure safe recovery and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include managing care across anesthesia modalities, communicating status to the team, and adhering to facility policies. Benefits are offered with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standing. BLS/BCLS within 90 days of employment; ACLS within 90 days; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient’s preoperative and postoperative status according to policies.
• Interpret information from monitors and describe pathophysiology of diseases.
• Develop an individualized perioperative plan of care.
• Provide perianesthesia care and educate patients and families.
