Job summary

SCA Health in Minnesota is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the PreOp/PACU role. You will assess patients before and after surgery, participate in anesthesia recovery, and implement individualized care plans to support safe patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to provide high-quality perioperative care. A valid RN license, BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PACU experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience encouraged.
• Current state RN licensure in good standing.
• Mandatory BLS/BCLS, ACLS; PALS if pediatric care is included.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient preoperative and postoperative status per policy.
• Interpret monitors and describe pathophysiology of disease processes.
• Develop and implement individualized perioperative care plans.
• Manage recovery from anesthesia and ensure patient safety.
• Communicate patient status to the care team and provide education.
• Perform pain management and wound/tissue care as needed.
